You see, I’ve done bodybuilding, I’ve done powerlifting, I’ve done athletic style training, but none of them had a true measurable definite goal.
Powerlifting is all about being stronger no matter what you look like. The stronger you get the more you looked like a barrel, and that is a good thing in powerlifting.

When I was 190 lbs I needed to be 200 lbs, then once I hit 200 lbs, I ended up on steroids because 210 lbs was my new goal. It seriously got so bad that I didn’t stop until I was 247 lbs!
And that was only because of an injury, my goal at that time was 260 lbs!
Clearly bodybuilding with steroids was not the answer as I easily passed the size that research shows most woman would find attractive by at least 50 pounds.
In fact, you may not know this, but bodybuilders only come down to a realistic and nice size during a contest; once, maybe twice per year. The rest of the year is spent at super human size that most women cannot relate to and most guys don’t like either.
Quite frankly, after alienating all of my smaller friends with my new steroid induced size and constantly having women roll their eyes at me and snickering as I'd walk by, I decided that “Bigger” was clearly not “better”, so I started wondering... "What's the answer?"
I was searching for the right look, the look that every man respects and every woman finds attractive. We all KNOW it exists, but we just haven't had a way to measure it.
What is it that makes some bodies simply more appealing than others?
I knew it wasn’t size, bigger was definitely not better.
I also knew it wasn’t too small, no girl wants a guy that is skinnier than she is - and of course, no man really respects the skinny look either.
But, as men, we DO seem to know that everyone can pick out the most proportioned and ideal looking body... so I went on a research mission into art history, classical sculpture, ancient architecture, physical attraction research, human anatomy, and psychology.
Frankly, if virtually everyone in the world can pick out the most attractive body then there must be a way to measure exactly what that body shape is.
Through my research, I found that the ideal physical form had been realized thousands of years ago by sculptors who crafted some of the world’s most impressive and timeless pieces of work.
Michelangelo’s statue of David is one such example.
Studying the proportions of this statue and others like it I came to an astonishing revelation.
After scouring the physical attraction and psychology research to confirm what I had found, the researched confirmed that there is one true perfect form that is timeless and ageless. Men and women have found these proportions perfect for millennia, and still consider them perfect to this day.
This information simply did not exist in the current fitness industry dogma or any field of exercise physiology. The idea of one perfect body proportion has been lost through ever-changing fads and trends in the fitness industry. They all were missing the point!

p.s. Once, a very long time ago, when I had just gotten my license, I was with my father in a rather bitch of a snow storm in the mountains of North Carolina in my new car. The weather was awful and I was scared to death... and I'm not ashamed to admit that. We were seriously in danger of sliding off the edge of the mountain. Then, I remembered something he had told me years ago when I was a kid.

"Well after a 5 weeks, I really hadn't seen the results that I wanted and got fairly discouraged. Though I was seeing gains in inches on my shoulders and arms, I wasn't totally satisfied. I hadn't lost the weight I had wanted. I took a week off and did some other things.
