We created the Adonis Index workout to build the perfect male body.
I’ve done bodybuilding, I’ve done powerlifting, I’ve done athletic style training, but none of them had a true measurable definite goal.
Powerlifting is all about being stronger no matter what you look like. The stronger you get the more you looked like a barrel, and that is a good thing in powerlifting.
Bodybuilding is interesting, they have a lot of good concepts... but the overall theme of “bigger is better” never works. There simply is no end with a bodybuilding workout.
When I was 190 lbs I needed to be 200 lbs, then once I hit 200 lbs 210 lbs was the goal. I didn’t stop until I was 247 lbs! And that was only because of an injury, my goal at that time was 260 lbs! Clearly bodybuilding was not the answer as I passed the size that any woman would probably find attractive by at least 50 pounds.
Bodybuilders only come down to a realistic and nice size during a contest; once, maybe twice per year. The rest of the year is spent at super human size that most women cannot relate to and most guys don’t like either. It is also blatantly obvious that most guys who are following the bodybuilding mantra are incredibly insecure.
They spend more time looking at themselves than they do talking to or even thinking about women. “Bigger” is clearly not “better”, so we started wondering... "What's the answer?"
We were searching for the right look, the look that every man respects and every woman finds attractive. We knew it existed, but we didn’t know how to measure it.
What is it that makes some bodies simply more appealing than others?
We knew it wasn’t size, bigger was definitely not better.
We knew it wasn’t too small, no girl wants a guy that is skinnier than she is.
But, everyone can pick out the most proportioned and most ideal looking body, right?
So we went on a research mission into art history, classical sculpture, ancient architecture, physical attraction research, human anatomy, and psychology. If people can pick out the most attractive body then there must be a way to measure exactly what that body shape is.
Through our research we found that the ideal physical form had been realized thousands of years ago by sculptors who crafted some of the world’s most impressive and timeless pieces of work.
Michelanglo’s statue of David is one such example.
Studying the proportions of this statue and others like it we came to an astonishing revelation. We learned of specific proportions and measurements that these artists used to determine the perfect male physique.
We scoured the physical attraction research and the psychology research to confirm what we had found. Our researched confirmed that there is one true perfect form that is timeless and ageless. Men and women have found these proportions perfect for millennia, and still consider them perfect to this day.
This information simply did not exist in the current fitness industry dogma or any field of exercise physiology. The idea of one perfect proportion has been lost through ever-changing fads and trends in the fitness industry. They all were missing the point!
(And at the $45-$120/hr that most personal trainers charge... a terrible waste of time, money, and effort...)
We then realized that with our expertise in nutrition and exercise physiology combined with these proportions of the perfect body, we could create a workout... and more importantly... a lifestyle that every man could use to transform his body into one of perfect proportions.
We ignored the ever changing fitness fads and theories, and used hard scientific facts and mathematical formulas to determine the exact proportions of a perfect male body and how to build it.
